The church Sainte Marie du Bois has three naves oriented, a transept in projection on the side walls and a semicircular apse that borders an ambulatory.

The total length of the church is 32 m, width 14.65 m .The width of the nave is 4 m, collateral 3m. Height of the nave vault under: 12m, height 6m collateral. Outside, on each side of the entrance draws a large blind arch supported by posts. It should be noted the form buttresses corresponding to the walls of the nave. These are elegant engaged columns in a rectangular pillar, sitting on a high pedestal and depreciated at the top with glaze with large slopes. In the twelfth century, architects have used semi-cylindrical buttresses for the churches bedside.

The aisles include four bays. The nave is barrel-vaulted, and the down sides are vaulted edges.

No choir bay separates the hemicycle of the transept whose square carries a dome on trunks, and arms, a barrel vault. The pillars are provided with a quadrangular backsplash and engaged half-columns.

The ambulatory: the inside, each has fallen arches supporting a bundle of single-cylinder four columns assembled in pairs. Their capitals are only blocks of stone cut in the shape of an inverted truncated cone. On the pillars of the nave right, appear two fight scenes that seem to follow. - On a pillar of the left is traced a duel comes between two armed men, one of which is a knight in military costume of the twelfth century. The capital of the first pillar on the right shows a man standing with his mouth half open as to call for help, and attacked by a ferocious quadruped; another character occurs that grabs the beast by the neck and the right hand is about to break his sword. - The imagination of the artist likes to evoke dark subjects. - The sixth tent is the torment of the damned. Spilled at the feet of two demons, unhappy in vain implore the mercy of his tormentors. Satan in person holds the patient's head while his valet seized tongue with pincers. In the foothills of ambulatory, will see the same diabolical figures. This composition has eight characters; three of them, dressed in tunics, kneeling on small stools, poor victims are chosen by a heavy chain. Their pleading and apologetic attitude is rendered with a perfect expression of truth. At right, a crouching demon holds the ends of the chain. Between him and the captives, an angel, seen from the front, the outspread wings and also kneeling, presents an open book. On the right side a second demon seems maintain another victim. This, of course, the image of the soul of the living by ties of prisoners caught in the bondage of hell and calling, through prayer, the help of divine grace. The damned and the dead souls are indeed represented in the form of naked figures in Romanesque sculpture; Here, Satan the captivity of his clothed and their attitude is not that of the reprobate. The angel who accompanies them on their knees too, interceding on their behalf.

Greed, a man standing with his mouth, holding a scholarship, is attacked by a quadruped. The character behind raises his sword towards the victim. The miser is thus punished for his vice. Greed, gluttony and lust are the most represented in the Romanesque sins.

The fight or wrestlers. Two pairs of fighters, two naked wrestlers engaging in a melee. Two fighters: one fell and falls on the head, legs in the air. The winner stuns him, smashing the skull of a hammer blow.

Despair, two great female figures are located at the corners. They bend forward backwards and stand head with both hands. They are dressed in a long robe, which falls in large folds along their legs. Why have these great people as they fear?

All these facts confirm that the building dates from the twelfth century.
